Planetarium provides an almanac to year 2030 of all navigational planets and stars. A compass view window displays azimuths and altitudes of major objects at user chosen times and positions. Another tap on the object brings up a sky view showing it in the surrounding star field. This is a wonderful way to learn the night sky. It also includes a convenient magnetic variation calculator valid for any location on Earth to 2010. This is a great improvement over the relatively imprecise values one gets from charts.
